Persistent, steady rains have put provinces including Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and British Columbia on heightened alert for flooding, putting several communities at risk.

In Quebec, the Red Cross is helping thousands of people in need. Depending on the needs of individuals and families, the Red Cross is providing support such as relocating people to hotels and providing them with food vouchers.

More than 150 Red Cross volunteers are mobilized daily, working in shifts to support 12 information centers in flood-impacted areas. Additional volunteers are on stand-by, ready to assist, if needed.
